Turning Gouges

Shaping
The jig positions the gouge on the grindstone so that you can get a specific and repeatable
grinding at any point along the bevel. This enables you to get an even, single bevel around
the entire profile from the left to the right wing.
With the Turning Tool Setter TTS-100 you control these factors. Select the profile you want
from the chart on the next page and use the three settings, which give that shape. Note the
settings on the Profile Label and put it on the ferrule. After the initial shaping you can exactly
replicate your favourite shape at every sharpening in less than a minute.
