2.4. Putting into operation
2.4.1. Start-up works shall be performed by the manufacturer or by an entity
certified for performing works of this type.
2.4.2. The pipeline is filled with liquid to be controlled. The flowmeter is con-
nected to a PC and configured according to the instructions listed in
section 4.1 of the present manual.
2.4.3. At first power-up or after a long break in operation, the flowmeter be-
comes operational after:
- All hydraulic processes in the pipeline related to flow adjustment (drain-
ing, flow cut off, etc.) are fully completed
- The flowmeter is kept powered for 30 minutes.
2.4.4. When putting the flowmeter into operation check the following:
- The flowmeter and related equipment are connected in accordance with
the selected wiring diagram
- Power supply voltage corresponds to the specifications
- Outputs operate in the preset modes.
After putting the flowmeter into operation, two fixing screws ac-
cessed from the CS front panel side can be sealed to protect the
equipment from unauthorized access.
CAUTION!
The Manufacturer's warranty does not cover the flow-
meters put into operation after 6 months from the date of purchase.

2.3.6.2. SPS mounting location is determined with regard to the following con-
siderations:
- Length of input and output cables
- SPS must be protected from condensate or liquid fallen from the pipes
running nearby
- SPS must not be placed in rooms where temperature may fall outside
the range +5 to +50 °C and relative humidity may exceed 80 % at a
temperature below +35
°
C
- SPS must not be placed near sources of heat, e.g. hot pipes
- Free access to SPS must be provided.
2.3.6.3. Disconnecting SPS electrical circuits
Disconnect SPS in the following order:
- Disconnect SPS from mains supply
- Disconnect SPS output cable.
2.3.7. Dismounting
To dismount the flowmeter, do the following:
- Disconnect the flowmeter from mains supply (if applicable)
- Cut off liquid flow in the relevant pipeline section, ensure there is no
pressure in the pipeline and drain the liquid
- Disconnect cables leading to the CS
- Dismount the flowmeter.
When the device is dispatched for calibration or repair, the PS and
emitting surfaces of built-in PEAs should be cleaned off sediments, re-
sidue, scale, etc.
