9 CHECK AND ADJUSTMENT
9.3 Optical Plummet Telescope Adjustment
Optical plummet telescope for the GLS-1500 tribrach should be checked to ascertain that it
corresponds to the optical plummet telescope of other units (total station, theodolite, etc.)

Remove the tribrach from the GLS-1500 main unit.

Attach GLS-1500 tribrach on the correctly adjusted instrument (total station, theodolite, etc.).

Attach the above to a tripod.

Using the optical plummet telescope of the instrument, make the point on the ground.

Using the optical plummet telescope of the GLS-1500 Tribrach, collimate the point marked in

with
the center mark.
Adjustment is not required if the point is properly centered in the center mark.

If not centered, turn the four to coincide with the center point marked in

9.4 Adjustment of Installation Error of the Tilt Sensor
Perform adjustment from "SETTING MENU."
Perform 5.2.8 “Adjusting the Tilt Sensor Installation Error”.
Note:
Focal mirror is screwed on from the top, bottom, right and left. In order to move the center mark, first
loosen the capstan adjustment screw on the side to which the center mark must be moved, then
tighten the adjustment screw on the opposite side. Finally, tighten both screws to hold in place.
