b) Assembly
•
Start assembling with the lower clamp (12 & 15). Screw the three half-shells together using the four hexagonal
bolts (17) and attach to the pipe support (B1) at the desired height and orientation. Use the washers (18),
spring rings (19) and nuts (20). Ensure they are tightened well. The clamping torque must be around 70 Nm
to ensure sufficient stability. Use a suitable torque spanner to ensure that this value is met.
•
Next, assemble the upper clamp (B2) from the two individual parts (11 & 14). Screw both half-shells to the pipe
support (B1) using the two hexagonal bolts (17) at a distance of 450 mm from the lower pipe clamp (B2). Use the
washers (18), spring rings (19) and nuts (20). Align the upper and lower clamps. Tighten lightly.
•
Insert the adjustable cantilever arm (24/B7) into the fixed cantilever arm (13/B4) and connect this unit with the
diagonal strut (8/B5) for pre-assembly. Use the screw (7) with the washer (21), spring ring (22) and nuts (23).
Tighten lightly.
• Insert the pre-assembled unit into the brackets on the clamps as shown in the illustration. Insert the retaining pins (10, 16)
into the clamp brackets from above. The diagonal strut (8) is secured with the upper retaining pin (10). Adjust the distance
between upper and lower clamp to exactly 450 mm. Align all components and tighten all screws. The clamping torque for
the pipe clamp connection must be about 70 Nm to ensure sufficient stability. Use a suitable torque spanner to ensure
this value is met.
• Secure the retaining pins (10, 16) using the hexagonal bolts (9) to prevent them from slipping out of position and
tighten with a suitable spanner.
• Lubricate the retaining pins lightly with grease.
• Secure the cantilever before mounting the cable hoist so that it cannot inadvertently turn. If necessary, get someone
else to hold it or take other measures to temporarily secure it in place, such as tying or fastening it using a screw
clamp.
• Finally, insert the plug (4) into the adjustable cantilever arm (24/B7).
•
You can also attach the cable hoist to the fixed cantilever arm (13/B4). Mounting it in this way means that a higher
load (up to 600 kg) can be used than with the first mounting option on the adjustable cantilever arm (24/B7). You
can find both mounting options depicted in the figure in chapter “10. Operation, Section b) Load Capacity of the
Swivel Arm”.
