8. Operation
a) Cutting inclination adjustment
• Untighten the clamp screw under the jigsaw base using the hex key provided.
• Pull the base backward a little to loosen the catch.
• Set the desired cutting angle. The angle is shown on a scale at the jigsaw base and can be set in 15° steps within
a range of +/- 45°.
• Push the jigsaw base forward again until it clicks into the groove that corresponds to the angle setting.
• Tighten the clamp screw under the jigsaw base again using the hex key provided.
b) Pendulum stroke settings
• Set the desired pendulum stroke with the pendulum stroke adjustment lever (9):
Position 0 > pendulum stroke switched off
Position 1 > low pendulum stroke
Position 2 > medium pendulum stroke
Position 3 > maximum pendulum stroke
The pendulum stroke causes a pendulum movement of the saw blade. The smaller the pendulum stroke,
the cleaner the cut. A larger pendulum stroke means faster cutting progress, but the edge of the cut is not
as clean.
Do not set a pendulum stroke or set only a low pendulum stroke when sawing thin workpieces or cutting
curves.
