1. Full open the air vent screw on the
fuel tank cap and release internal
pressure.

2. Open the fuel tank cap slowly.
3. Fill the fuel carefully not to over flow.
4. After filling the tank, close the fuel
tank cap.

The engine oil is drained for shipping from
the factory. Be sure to fill the engine to the
proper level before star ting engine. ( To
properly fill the engine with oil follow the
instructions, See page 63)
Use only high quality 4-stroke engine oil
to insure performance and prolonged
engine life.
The SAE oil viscosity 10W-30 or 10W-40
FC-W outboard motor engine oil is rec-
ommended.
You can also use oils that carry the API
rating of SH, SJ, or SL. Select the appro-
priate viscosity, based on atmospheric
temperature, from the chart below.

Use of engine oils that do not meet these
requirements will result in reduced engine
life, and other engine problems.
