LINE CORD SAFETY TIPS

1.  Never pull or yank on cord or the appliance.

2.

To insert plug, grasp it firmly and guide it into outlet.

3.  To disconnect appliance, grasp plug and remove it from outlet.

4.

Before each use, inspect the line cord for cuts and/or abrasion marks.  If any are

found, this indicates that the appliance should be serviced and the line cord replaced.

5.  Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance, as this could place undue stress

on the cord where it enters the appliance and cause it to fray and break.

DO NOT OPERATE APPLIANCE IF THE LINE CORD SHOWS ANY DAMAGE, OR IF

APPLIANCE WORKS INTERMITTENTLY OR STOPS WORKING ENTIRELY.

IMPORTANT

During the first few minutes of initial use, you may notice smoke and/or a slight odor.

This is normal and should quickly disappear.  It will not recur after appliance has been

used a few more times.

USING YOUR TOASTER

Solid surface countertops can be easily scratched, cracked, scorched, or damaged,

especially when exposed to heat.  To prevent damage, the following precautions should

be observed when using this product:

•

Always use a trivet under heat generating sources such as Slow Cookers, Toaster

Ovens, Skillets, or any other Kitchen Appliance.

Before use remove any packing materials and wipe the body of your toaster with a damp

cloth.

Ensure that before plugging the toaster into the outlet, the bread carriage lever is in the

uppermost position.

Plug the cord into a 120 volt, 60 HZ AC outlet. Position toaster at least 3 inches away

from wall or rear of counter.

Let the first toasting process take place without inserting any bread to preheat the new

elements and burn off any residue.

Select the desired level of darkness by turning the “1-6” light/dark knob on the front panel

of the toaster to the right for darker toast and to the left for lighter toast.  Your selection

should vary based on the moisture content, thickness of bread, whether fresh or frozen

and your darkness preference.

Next, place bread in slot and depress bread carriage lever downwards until it locks.

Carriage lever will not stay down if toaster is not plugged in. The self-adjusting bread

guides will automatically center the bread for browning.

If using the FROZEN or BAGEL function buttons, press the selected button at this time.

After the desired level of darkness has been reached, the bread will pop up automatically

and is ready for removal from the slots. The bread carriage will return to its original

position and disconnect the elements, ready for the next toasting.

To remove toast, press up on the bread carriage lever to lift toast out of the bread slots.

To remove jammed toast, unplug toaster and remove bread once toaster has cooled

down. Never insert fingers or metallic utensils into slots.
