LMU (LINE
MODEM UNIT)
This unit is composed of a modulator to receive
signals from the station, a demodulator to send
out signals to the station and a scanning circuit
that scans the station "Privacy ON/OFF" condi-
tions and the dial data.
Up to 8 stations can be connected to 1 LMU.
Station No. Lamp
Of the numbered lamps, the one corresponding
to a given station is lit brightly or dimly to
reflect the condition of the station.
Bright : Exchange and station are connected
and the privacy switch is off.
(It is not known whether the station
is busy or not)
Dim :
Exchange
and
station are connected,
with the privacy switch on.
