Auger Belt Replacement
1. Remove the belt cover on the front of the engine by
removing the two self-tapping screws (see Figure 22).
Drain the gasoline from the snow blower, or place a
container to catch leakage from the gas cap.
2. Carefully pivot the snow blower up and forward so
that it rests on the auger housing. Remove the frame
cover from the underside of the snow blower by
removing four self-tapping screws which secure it
(see Figure 23).
3. Roll the auger belt off the engine pulley (see Figure 24).
4. Loosen and remove the shoulder screw which
restrains the belt from jumping off of the pulley.
Unhook the support bracket spring from the frame
(see Figure 25).
5. Remove the belt from the auger pulley, slip the belt
between the support bracket and the auger pulley
(see Figure 26).
6. Attach a new auger belt and reassemble by following
the instructions in reverse order.
