Preparation before test run
1. The following points should be confirmed before performing the test run.
(1) Piping
a. Condensate recovery piping
All piping between the steam-using equipment and condensate recovery
destination must be completed and checked for leaks or abnormalities. All
related accessories such as valves, check valves, flowmeters and other
sensors should also be properly installed.
b. Cooling water piping
Piping to supply an uninterrupted flow of cooling water should be completed.
c. Condensate recovery pump piping
Outlet of the motor valve for air venting should be piped to a safe location,
such as a pit. Outlet of the pump cooling water should be piped to a safe
location, such as a pit.
(2) Electrical wiring
Electrical wiring of the power supply and electric-operated instruments should be
completed.
