5.4 Discharge Controls
Controlling the direction and angle of the discharge is an essential part of operating the
chipper in a safe manner.
Discharge Direction
1. Slacken the locking nut using the integral handle (Figure 7).
2. Rotate the discharge tube to face in a safe direction.
3. Re-tighten the locking nut.
Discharge Angle
Use the handle to adjust the bucket to achieve a safe discharge angle (Figure 8).

5.5 Engine Controls
On the TW 230HB the engine controls are divided
between two separate locations.

The engine ignition is on the control panel, in the
centre of the machine, forward of the feed funnel on
the left side.
The throttle lever is on the left side of the feed
funnel, at the top rear corner (Figure 9).
