4.2 Slide together the telescope
After voltage testing and unhooking from the catenary line, slide the telescope
together, beginning with the thickest tube.
First unhook electrode from the catenary line,
after that disconnect rail/earth.
5. Battery
5.1 Check battery condition
The latest battery status is symbolised by a three-stage battery indicator on the display.

Attention!
When the empty battery symbol flashes, then no more measurements can be performed and the battery has
to be replaced immediately. The device requires 6 x AA batteriess in accordance with IEC LR6 (Alkaline) or
IEC FR6 (Lithium). We recommend to achieve the use of FR6 batteries for a long period of use.
5.2 Battery change
Remove the display part from the tube (picture). Unscrew the four backfacing screws (PZ1) and pull the display
unit upwards.
Insert the new batteries correctly into the battery holder.
Replace the display unit and secure it with the four backfacing screws.
Attention!
Voltage testers shall not be used with open battery box.
Note:
Included in the scope of delivery is one battery. These battery is not to be re-charged. Attempting to recharge
it may cause risk to personal safety and damage to the equipment. The battery may not to be opened.
Depleted batteries must not be disposed with the domestic waste. Please, return batteries at a local retailer or
municipal recycling depot. Return is free of charge and required by law.
