Install SIM Card
Your
Thuraya IP Commander
has two SIM card slots, one designated as
Primary
and
the other as
Secondary
. Both are installed into slots behind a metal plate on the left side of
the
Thuraya IP Commander
enclosure, though only the
Primary
SIM card is used at this
time. Below are the instructions for installing the SIM card.

Remove six
screws from
access panel
SeeFigure7. Usingacross-point screwdriver, removethesix screws holding
thesideaccess panel inplace.

Remove
access panel Removepanel andput inasafeplace.

Remove
gasket (opt.)
If thegasket remains completely inplace, don’t removeit. If it does come
loose, set aside.

Install
Primary
SIM card
Withtheaccess panel removed, therearethreeopenings onthesideof the
Thuraya IP Commander enclosure. ThePrimary SIM cardgoes intothe
socket inthecenter opening. TheSIM cardis spring-loaded. Pushuntil you
feel it lock intoplace. Toremove, press until youfeel thecardunlock.

Gasket must completely fill theslot withnooverhang.

Replace
access panel
Placetheaccess panel over theareafrom whichit was removed. Alignthe
screw holes inthepanel withtheones ontheenclosure.

Insert and
tighten screws
Insert thesix screws intotheir holes. Tightenhandtight toensuretheplateis
properly aligned. Tightentherest of theway downwithacross-point screw-
driver. Donot over-tighten!
