  Recording a Video

STANDARD RECORDING

Ensure the Micro SD card has been inserted; if it is missing, the 

camera will power off automatically after 30 seconds.

To switch the camera on:

• 

 Press the POWER button.

The blue indicator light will glow to indicate startup mode. 

To start recording:

• 

 Press the Record button. 

A solid blue light will illuminate and a red light will flash slowly to indi-

cate recording is in progress,

During recording: 

• 

For best results, ensure the main object of 

focus remains 50cm from the camera in sufficient lighting

To stop recording:

• 

 Press the record button again.

The file will be automatically saved. The red light will flash quickly to 

indicate ‘file saved’ and then will turn off.

 

To make further recordings

• 

: Repeat the procedure.

Note: 

It takes a few moments to save a file after recording. Allow the 

procedure to finish before starting a new recording, Pressing the record 

button repeatedly may disrupt this procedure. 

SOUND ACTIVATED RECORDING

Press the POWER button to turn the DV camera on. 

• 

The blue indicator light will glow to indicate startup mode. 

Press the MODE button to change to sound activated mode.

• 

The blue light will remain on and the red light will flash rapidly to indi-

cate sound acitvated standby mode. 

When a sound greater than 60 decibels (60dB) is picked up by the cam-

era, it will begin to record automatically. While filming, the blue light 

remains on and the purple light flashes slowly.
When the camera enters sound activated mode it will run for a mini-

mum of 2 minutes. After 2 minutes, if there is no sound, the DV Camera 

will save the file automatically and revert to standby mode. If the sound 

continues after 2 minutes, the camera will continue to film.  
Any sound louder than 60dB will activate the camersa and another re-

cording cycle will commence.

When recording ensure the microphone is not obscured.

MANUAL AND AUTO POWER OFF

To manually turn the power off:

seconds and then release. 

The indicator lights will illuminate then turn off.
