NOSE CONE SECTION/REEL HOUSING SECTION MOUNT
1.
Using the
Small Tube Clamp
, place the top (the side
with the DO Logo) underneath the tubes of the
Nose
Cone Section.
2.
Place the
Bottom Tube Clamp
on top of the tubes
and secure with
Mounting Clamp Assembly
and
3.5"
King Bolt
as shown in
Figure 3
3.
Leave the
Small Tube Clamp
loose so it can slide up
and down the
Nose Cone Section
for placement on
crossbars.
4.
Using the
Large Tube Clamp
, place the top (the side
with the DO Logo) underneath the tubes of the
Reel
Housing Section.
5.
Place the
Bottom Tube Clamp
on top of the tubes
and secure with
Mounting Clamp Assembly
and
3.5"
King Bolt
as shown in
Figure 6
6.
Leave the
Large Tube Clamp
loose so it can slide up
and down
Reel Housing Section
for placement on
crossbars.
7.
Place the unit on top of your vehicle
8.
For the
Nose Cone Section
mount, position the
Nose
Cone Mounting Assembly
over the front crossbar
making sure the
Reel Housing Mounting Assembly
is
sitting on the rear crossbar. Once the proper position
has been found, flip unit over and tighten the
King
Bolts
using the
¼ inch Hex Wrench
securing the
Nose
Cone
and
Reel Housing Mounting Assemblies
in
place. Flip unit back over and place
Rack Clamp Feet
underneath front and rear crossbars and secure with
small washer and
2" Rack Clamp Bolt
as shown in
Figure 4
(for Thule Xsporter use
2.5" King Bolts
)
T-SLOT/REEL HOUSING SECTION MOUNT
1.
Slide the
2 T-slot Bolts
into the T-slot (for Thule
Xsporter use longer
2.75" T-slot bolts
)
2.
Using the
Large Tube Clamp
, place the top (the side
with the DO Logo) underneath the tubes of the
Reel
Housing Section
.
3.
Place the
Bottom Tube Clamp
on top of the tubes
and using
¼ inch Hex Wrench
secure
Mounting Clamp
Assembly
with
3.5" King Bolt
as shown in
Figure 6
4.
Leave the
Large Tube Clamp
loose so it can slide up
and down the
Reel Housing Section
for placement on
crossbars.
5.
Place the unit on top of your vehicle
6.
For the
Reel Housing Section
mount, position the
mounting assembly over the front crossbar making
sure the reel housing is sitting on the rear crossbar
with enough room to mount in the next step. Once
the proper position has been found, flip unit over
and tighten the king bolts securing the
Reel Housing
Mounts
in place. Flip unit back over and place
Rack
Clamp Feet
underneath front crossbar and secure
with
Small Washer
and
2" Rack Clamp Bolt
as shown
in
Figure 4
(for Thule Xsporter use
2.5" King Bolts
)
7.
For the T-slot mount make sure one
T-slot Bolt
is on
each side of the crossbar. Using the
Non-Threaded
T-slot Foot
, place it under the crossbar and insert
both
T-slot Bolts
into the corresponding holes in the
foot. Using a
½ inch Wrench
screw on
T-slot Nuts
to
secure unit to crossbar as shown in
Figure 5
