Chapter 4
External Signal Enable or Disable
In open loop mode, the external input (Ch 1, Ch 2 or SMA) is
used to control the high voltage amplifier. The selected input can
be enabled or disabled using these menu options.
ES En
- enables the external input
ES dI
- disables the external input
Press the MODE button to select the desired setting.
Press and hold the MODE button to activate the setting and save
it. Once saved, this setting is non-volatile, so after the next power
cycle the unit will automatically power up with the selected
external input enabled or disabled.
Note.
This setting applies only to open loop mode, where using
an external signal to control the TPZ001 is optional. Closed loop
operation is only possible if there is an external feedback signal
connected to the unit, so the selected external input is always
assumed to have a signal source driving it. Therefore in closed
loop mode these settings are ignored.
Display Brightness Setting
The cube will power up with a pre-set brightness level and during
operation, the user can adjust the display intensity to suit the
optical environment.
Turn the OUTPUT potentiometer to increase or decrease the
display brighhtness.
If required, the brightness setting can also be saved to make it
persist between power up cycles. Press and hold the MODE
button to save the setting.
Press the MODE button to return the display to normal (voltage
display) mode.
The display will also return from “menu” to “normal” mode after 5
seconds if no button is pressed, unless the display brightness
adjustment mode is selected.
