Washing and Drying Tips and Hints
Sort your laundry
according to the following characteristics:

Type of fabric care label symbol:
Sort laundry into cottons, mixed fibres,
synthetics, silks, wools and rayon.
x
Colour: Separate whites and colours. Wash new, coloured items separately.
x
Size: Placing articles of different sizes in the same load will improve the washing
performance.
x
Sensitivity: Wash delicate items separately. Check the labels on the items you
are washing or refer to the fabric care chart below.
Empty pockets
(key, coins, etc.)
and remove the harder
decorative objects (e.g. brooches).
Securing fasteners
Close zippers and fasten buttons or hooks; loose belts or
ribbons should be tied
together.
Place small items such as socks, belts, etc. in a washing bag.
