BE CAREFUL:
the digital zoom turns to an imaging process so
called interpolation unlike the optical zoom. this process provides
lower image quality than the optical zoom.
You can disable the digital zoom through the
Digital zoom
option
(page 12).
2.11 How to use the flash
The flash can be set according to shooting conditions.
Press on the thumbnail arrow

) and select either of the following
flash modes :
A
Automatic flash (default setting)
The flash fires automatically if the lighting is low.
Backlight flash
The flash fires in every shooting. Use this mode for subjects
against the light.
Automatic flash with mitigation of « red eyes effect »
The flash fires automatically if there is a lower lighting and allows the
mitigation of the « red eyes effect » on the portraits.
SL
Slow sync
The flash fires with a slow shutter speed.
Disabled flash
The flash does not fire even if the lighting is very low. The flash in-
