Operating the Microscope

To install a grating

1. Open the grating door.

2. Remove any installed grating.

3. Use a clean, lint-free cotton cloth to wipe the magnets that secure the grating when

installed. (Magnets are located on the bottom of the new grating and inside the grating
compartment on the instrument).
