F.2 Installing/Replacing Lithium-Ion Battery
All Matrix Electronic Equalizer pipettes are now shipped with a Lithium-
Ion battery.
Before using the pipette, charge it for 2 hours. Use the following procedure
when installing a new battery pack. Otherwise, continue to Section F.3,
Recharging Batteries.
Replacement battery:
1 Lithium-Ion Battery: Item No. 2094
Note:
When replacing batteries, ensure the pipette is turned off before
removing the battery case.
1. Remove battery case.
Position your thumb over the thumb grips (see
Figures F.2a,b) and brace your fingers against the front of the keypad.
Apply pressure to the panel with the thumb grips to release latch. Carefully
slide battery case out of the pipette, allowing sufficient slack for attached
wires of the battery.

2. Remove Console Cover.
Unclip the two snaps on console cover assembly,
then unhook the end of console cover assembly (see Figures F.2c,d).
