1.
Clean
and lightly lubricate the
motor shaft
and
seal recess in the sea
l
plate
(item
10)
with a dilute
solution of
non-granulat
e
d
liquid
type
soap. Gent
l
y
wipe
the polished
face of the
cera
mic
se
al with a
so
ft, lint free cotton cloth
.
Lubr
ic
ate the rubber cup
on
th
e
ceramic
se
at
and
pre
ss i
t
firmly
into the recess
o
f
the sea
l
p
l
ate (item
10),
with the polished
ceramic
s
urface facing toward
s
you
.
Ensur
e
the
motor shaft slinger
(item 12) is slid
all
the
way
down the
shaft.
2. Place
the
seal
plate
(item
10)
onto
the moto
r
mounting p
l
ate (item
1
3),
align
the tabs
on
the
sea
l
pla
t
e
wi
t
h the grooves
on the
motor mo
u
n
t
ing p
l
a
t
e. The
outside
profile
of the two parts
should be the same.
3. Gently
wipe the
black,
polished
surface
of the carbon spring seal assembly
(item 9) with a soft,
l
i
nt
free cotton
cloth.

lean and lubricate the
impeller
(item
8) and
press
the carbon spring seal
assembly (item 9)
onto
the
impelle
r
hub w
i
th the black, po
l
ished surface
fac

ng away
from the
impeller.

Sc

ew
the
impeller (i

em 8) onto
the motor
shaft in
a clockwise direct
io
n
and
tighten snugly
by holding the moto
r
shaft with
the flat b
l
ade screwdriver
as
explained earlier
.
Place the
im
peller ring
(item 7)
back
onto
the impe
l
ler
(item
8),
with
i
t
s flange facing
towards
the diff
u
ser
(item
6)

Pla
ce
the diffuser
(
item
6) over
the
impeller (item 8)
and
onto the sea
l
plate
(
i
tem
10),
aligning the word
"TOP"
and the
arrow
to
the top of
the
motor, or,
the top
r
idge of the seal plate. Give it
a
tap with the heal of your hand to make
it
seat into position on
the
seal plate. Ensure
the
d
iffuser gaske
t
is
fitted
to
the
diffu
se
r
to the
outside
of the diffuser
i
nlet.
7. Replace
the
motor assemb
l
y into
the
pump/strainer
h
ousing
in the
r
everse
order of
the remo
val
steps
.
En
su
re the
housing gasket
(
item
5)
is
lubricated
and
t
i
ghten the housing bo
l
ts (it
e
m
1
4)
in a
cross pattern
and
evenly.
