Advice for heavily polluted water:
In this case, the fleece roll may be used quite quickly. It may occur that the dirty roll cannot
dry in time and get too heavy for the motor to turn it. In this case, we recommend cutting the
fleece once it is half used and discard the dirty fleece. The rest can be remounted and used
until the end.
5. Set Up
Aquarium: The Rollermat can be
placed into the filter sump below the
aquarium.
Alternatively, it can be placed above
the water level, so that the purified
water can flow freely back into the
aquarium. If it is placed inside of the
filter sump, the water level in the
sump is always kept minimum 5 cm
below the level of the water outlet.
The water flows freely through the
filter.

sump.
The motor of the Rollermat has a power uptake of 4W and is operated with 12V~ safety voltage. A
transformer is included.
Connection:
The water inlet is connected to the top of the Rollermat Compact I. The connection fits hoses with a
diameter of 25, 30 and 40 mm inner diameter. It can be cut at the right diameter. The hose is
connected to the overflow of the aquarium – or to a separate pump. The flow rate may not exceed
2000l/h. (c. 500 gph.) The water outlet is located at the bottom of the unit. The water can flow freely
into the filter sump. Alternatively a pipe with 25 mm diameter can be connected. The diameter of the
water outlet may not be reduced. If you use a 25 mm pipe, you must take care, that the water can
flow freely. It may not be directed upwards – not above the height of the water outlet of the unit.
Emergency overflow
:
The outlet in the center of the Rollermat Compact is the emergency
overflow. It can be connected to a 25 mm PVC pipe and directed into
the filter sump. Alternatively a 25 mm hose fitting may be pressed
into the outlet and a hose can be connected to direct the water back
into the sump.
