NOTE
After the appliance restarts, you will need to activate the appliance again, as
described in
"Activating the Appliance" on page 31
You can now log in to KeySecure to generate and store keys via the GUI, KSCTL, or the API.
For information on managing keys or migrating keys from KeySecure Classic, refer to the NextGen KeySecure
Administrator Guide.

Licensing
The NextGen KeySecure requires a valid license to create and manage keys. An initial 90-day Trial License is
provided for evacuation. 30 days prior to license expiration, the NextGen KeySecure Server will notify you, in
the top banner in red, that your license is expiring soon. Before the expiration, a new purchased license must
be installed. Contact Gemalto Sales representative for assistance in obtaining a license.
Lock Codes
Licensing requires a lock code. Each NextGen KeySecure server comes with two lock codes, the Key Manager
Lock Code and the Connector Lock Code. These can be accessed via the GUI, KSCTL and API:
