Forecast
Weather forecast symbols
y
The weather station has five different weather symbols (sunny, slightly cloudy, cloudy, rainy, stormy). (Fig.1-F3).
y
The weather forecast relates to a range of 12 to 24 hours and indicates only a general weather trend.
For example, if the current weather is cloudy and the rain symbol is displayed, it does not mean the product is
faulty because it is not raining. It simply means that the air pressure has dropped and the weather is
expected to get worse but not necessarily rain.
Trend arrows
y
The trend arrows on the display will show whether the atmospheric pressure of the last 3 hours is increasing,
steady or decreasing.
Increase (+1-2 hPa):
Weather improvement
Fast increase (>+2hPa):
Significant weather improvement
Steady (+-1hPa):
Stable weather conditions
Decrease (-1-2 hPa):
Weather deterioration
Fast decrease (>-2hPa):
Significant weather deterioration
Atmospheric pressure
y
The relative atmospheric pressure (Fig.1-F2) is referred to the sea level’s pressure and
has to be adjusted
first to your local altitude (see: “Manual settings”).
Developing of atmospheric pressure
y
The bar graph indication (Fig.1-F1) of atmospheric pressure shows the last 24 hours.
y
The “0h” in the middle of this scale is equal to the current pressure and each change (±2, ±4, ±6) represents
how high or low in “hPa“ the past pressure was compared to the current pressure (Fig.1-F2) .
y
If the bars go down, it means the atmospheric pressure has dropped and the weather is expected
to get worse.
y
If the bars are rising it means that the weather is getting better.
Wind
Wind speed
y
The wind wheel symbol (Fig.1-E2) is animated when it is windy and moves according to the wind speed:
One loop per 2 seconds:
Wind speed < 5 km/h
One loop per second:
Wind speed > 5km/h
y
In the setting mode you can select the unit of the wind speed in km/h (default), m/s or Beaufort
(see “Manual settings”).
y
The current wind speed (WINDSPEED) (Fig.1-E5) corresponds to the average value of 5 seconds. The maxi-
mum value is transmitted every 31 seconds.
y
In the setting mode, you can select between the average wind speed of the last 10 minutes (AVG 10, default
setting) or the maximum wind speed of the last hour (TOP 1HR) as the permanent display
(see “Manual settings”).
y
Press the WIND button (Fig.1-H) in normal mode to display the maximum wind speed for different time
intervals, indicating the time and date of recording:
y
Maximum wind speed of the last 24 hours (24 HRS)
y
Maximum wind speed of the last 7 days (7 DAYS)
y
Maximum wind speed of the last month (MONTH). You can toggle through the past 11 months of maxi-
mum wind speed history when you are in MONTH view by pressing the + button (Fig.1-K).
y
Maximum wind speed of the current year (YEAR).
y
NOTE:
Hold the - button (Fig.1-L) for 3 seconds in the respective wind speed display to clear the recorded
readings. Every display can be reset individually.
y
The device will automatically quit the mode if no button is pressed for 5 seconds.
Wind direction
y
The large triangle on the LCD wind rose (Fig.1-E9) indicates the wind direction (16 wind directions).
y
In addition, the PREVAILING DIRECTION (Fig.1-E4) of the last hour is displayed. In the setting mode, you
can choose between showing the cardinal direction or the number of degrees on the display (see “Manual
settings”).
“Feels Like” temperature (WIND CHILL)
y
Wind Chill (Fig.1-E8) is a calculative value of outdoor temperature (of CH1) and wind speed.
y
Note:
The wind chill calculator only works for temperature at or below 10°C and wind speeds above 4.83
km/h (3 mph), otherwise the current outdoor temperature is displayed.
Rain
Current rainfall amount indication
y
The rainfall amount of today (since 0:00h) (Fig.1-D5) is shown in mm and on a corresponding graph
(Fig.1-D4). If the display range of the daily rainfall for the graph is exceeded (>30 mm), the symbol
“>”
appears above the 30mm indication.
y
When it starts to rain the rain drop symbol (Fig.1-D3) begins to flash. If there is no precipitation for
30 minutes, the drops are no longer displayed.
y
Press the RAIN button (Fig.1-G) in normal mode to switch between the rainfall displays for different time
intervals (Fig.1-D7):
The last selected display is permanently active (default 24 HRS).
y
Rainfall amount of the last hour (1HR)
y
Rainfall amount of the last 24 hours (24HRS)
y
Rainfall amount of the last 7 days (7 DAYS)
y
Rainfall amount of the last month (MONTH). You can toggle through the past 11 months of rainfall
history when you are in MONTH view by pressing the + button (Fig.1-K).
y
Rainfall amount of the last year (YEAR)
y
Indication of TOTAL rainfall amount since setting up or the last reset.
y
NOTE:
Hold the - button (Fig.1-L) for 3 seconds in the respective rainfall amount indication to clear the
recorded readings. Every rainfall amount indication can be reset individually.
Alert settings
y
Press and hold the ALERTS button (Fig.1-O) for three seconds to enter the alert setting mode.
y
OFF is flashing and the first option “upper limit of wind speed” is displayed. If you do not want to set this alert,
press the ALERTS button again to move to the next alert.
y
To activate (ON) or deactivate (OFF) the alert setting function, press the + or - button (Fig.1-K+L) while ON or
OFF flashes.
y
If you have activated the alert (ON), wait some seconds until the alert value flashes.
y
Press + or - button to adjust the respective alert value.
y
Confirm with the ALERTS button and go to the next setting.
y
The sequence is shown as follows:
y
Upper limit wind speed (1…178 km/h)
y
24-hour rainfall (1…990mm)
y
Lower (LO) and upper limit (HI) indoor temperature (0…50°C)
y
Lower (LO) and upper limit (HI) indoor humidity (10…99%RH)
y
Lower (LO) and upper limit (HI) outdoor temperature CH1 (-40…60°C)
y
Lower (LO) and upper limit (HI) outdoor humidity CH1 (10…99%RH)
y
If you have connected more than one temperature-humidity sensor, the alert setting for additional
channels appears.
y
When activated, the corresponding alert symbols ( | ) appear on the display.
Alarm event
y
In the event of an alarm, the corresponding symbol ( | ) will be flashing and an alarm tone will sound 5
times per minute.
y
Stop the alarm sound with any button.
y
The alert symbol continues to flash until the measured value is within the alarm limits.
