is positioned over the front stop stud (21).
2.
Move the traction pedal (19) to the maximum forward
position. If the pedal touches the front stop stud (21)
before reaching the maximum forward position,
adjust the stop stud position.

Loosen nuts (22).
4.
Adjust (turn) the front stop stud (21) in (clockwise).
5.
Move the traction pedal (19) to the maximum forward
position and hold.
6.
Adjust (turn) the front stop stud (21)
counterclockwise, until it touches the mow speed

Tighten nuts (22).
Weight Transfer Adjustment
See Figure 5-18.
The adjustable weight transfer valve can be used to
maintain 0–50 psi (0–3.45 bar) of upward force on the
cutting unit lift cylinders. Increased upward pressure on
the cutting unit cylinders will transfer additional weight to
the machine drive wheels, improving traction, and
reducing the chance of wheel spin.
NOTE
Adjustments (clockwise or counterclockwise) are referred
to while facing the adjustment knob and instructional
decal as shown below.
Figure 5-18
1.
Loosen adjustment lock (1).
2.
Rotate adjustment knob (2) counterclockwise to
decrease upward force on the cutting unit lift
cylinders. This will increase the weight of the decks
on the ground.
NOTE
Adjusting weight transfer knob completely clockwise may
cause decks not to lower.
3.
Rotate adjustment knob (2) clockwise to increase
upward force on cutting unit lift cylinders. This will
improve machine traction and reduce wheel spin.
4.
Tighten adjustment lock (1).
5.
Test mow with the machine to verify desired
adjustment. Re-adjust as needed.
