Battery
Safety precautions for the battery:
1.
Never open the battery.
2.
Never expose the battery to open fire.
3.
Use only an original battery. An unoriginal battery can damage the hedge trimmer.
4.
Connect the charger to 230V only.
5.
Use only the original charger, an unoriginal charger can damage the battery.
6.
After long time use of the hedge trimmer, the battery can become warm. Allow it to
cool off before it is charged again.
7.
Keep both charger and battery away from children.
8.
Never keep the battery stored below 10
°
or above 40
°
C.
9.
Never short-circuit the poles of the battery.
10.
Do not use the charger in an environment, where toxic fumes and easy flammable
fluids exist.
11.
Only use the charger indoors.
Start charging the battery for minimum 5 hours before
using the machine the first time. Hereafter the normal
charging time is approx. 3-5 hours.
The battery time is Lithium-Ion and must only be charged
with the included charger.
The battery can be charged in the hedge trimmer
or it can be done separately. It is recommended
to charge the battery outside the hedge trimmer.
The battery will stop charging when it is full. But
it is recommend not to let it stay in charger for
more than 24 hours. The battery can be charged
at all time, no matter if it is empty or half full.
During charging, the red LED indicator on charger will light up. When battery is full it will
stop lit.
When charged, the surface of the battery will be warm. This is perfectly normal.
During storage, the battery should first be fully charged and then kept in a warm place.
Important
To protect the battery against deep discharging, when the battery is flat, the hedge
trimmer will automatically switch off via a protective circuit. The blade will stop moving
and a light whistling sound will be heard.
Do not continue press the on/off witch after an automatic shut-off of the hedge trimmer.
The battery can become damaged. Battery needs to be re-charges before further use.
