Building the User Boot Loader (UBL)
To rebuild the ARM-side User Boot Loader (ARM UBL), you will need to
use CCStudio 3.3 installed on a Microsoft Windows host.
The source files and CCStudio project files for building the ARM side UBL
are provided in the PSP_02_20_#_#/board_utilities/armubl directory,
which was created when you installed the PSP package as described in
Section 2.3.
The following steps build the ARM UBL:
1) Start CCStudio v3.3.
2) From the menus, choose
Project > Open
. Browse to the
REL_LSP_02_20_#_#/PSP_02_20_#_#/board_utilities/armubl
directory and open the ubl.pjt project.
Note:
The ARM UBL project is provided and tested only as a
CCStudio v3.3 project.
3) If you are building support for SPI flash, choose BOOT_SPI from the
"Select Active Configuration" drop down list. If you are building
support for NAND flash, choose BOOT_NAND.
4) From the menus, choose
Project > Build
. The project build places
the ubl-spi.bin or ubl-nand.bin image in the armubl directory (for SPI
and NAND boot respectively).
