•
Always wear appropriate clothing for the work environment.
•
Be careful when adjusting the moving parts of the device.
The base of the device may be an obstacle that could cause you to
stumble.
Safety Measures:
•
Be careful when operating near the device.
For a correct positioning of the device, for the purpose of the
photometric analysis, specific laser pointers must be used.
Looking directly at the laser beam is not dangerous as long as the blink
reflex is maintained, which allows limiting the cornea exposure to a time
below 0.25 seconds.
Taking medications or alcohol may delay the blink reflex response,
exposing the eye to irreversible damage.
Safety Measures:
•
Use laser protection glasses if you are undergoing treatment with medications.
•
Do not consume alcohol before or while using the device.
•
Do not look directly at the laser beam, not even while wearing protective glasses.
The accessible laser radiation is harmless to the eye as long as no
optical tools (e.g. magnifying glasses, lenses, telescopes) are used in
front of the laser opening.
An optical tool positioned in front of the laser opening reduces the
cross-section of the laser beam, making the accessible radiation
harmful to the eye.
Safety Measures:
•
Do not position any type of optical tool in front of the laser opening.
•
Do not point the laser beam towards people, especially the face and eyes
•
Do not point the laser beam towards reflecting surfaces.
•
If possible, cover or eliminate any possible reflecting surfaces near the laser
beam.
The beam of a Class 2 laser product may cause: dazzle, flash
blindness and afterimages, particularly in poor ambient lighting
conditions.
This may cause indirect consequences on general safety, which result
in temporary visual impairment or reactions of fear / surprise.
