Using a Disc Menu
A DVD movie disc is capable of having an on-screen menu (disc menu) that is separate from the
DVD player’s menu and on-screen display. The disc menu might only contain a list of the titles and
chapters, or it may allow you to change features such as language, playback settings and special
features like previews, etc.
Although the content and operation of disc menus vary from disc to disc, the following example will
give you an idea of what to expect (most people will just put a disc in the tray and press PLAY).
1
While the disc is playing, press the MENU/PBC button on the REMOTE and the
menu of the currently playing title appears. This varies from disc to disc, however, the
following example will give you an idea of what to expect.
NOTE:
Every DVD is slightly different, these are just examples.

disc menu you want to choose, and press the ENTER button. In the example on

NOTE:
Any setting you change on the disc menu only overrides the settings in
SYSTEM

current movie). Default settings for your DVD player are the settings that
you set up in the DVD HOME
in memory, until you change them (see Page 29).
In this example, the
LANGUAGE

ting is highlighted. To see the language
options, press ENTER on the remote.
In this example,

highlighted. Press ENTER on the remote
to play the disc in English.
