1. Adjusting the Joints
Before putting the orthosis on the patient,
adjust the extension and flexion limitation of
the hinges according to the doctor‘s orders.
Possible Settings:
Flexion can be
gradually limited within a ran ge of 0°
to 120°, extension from 0° to 90°. The
orthosis can be locked at a flexion of 0°,
15°, 30° and 45°.
Adjusting the Flexion
and Extension Limitation
To adjust flexion and extension,
first turn the center knob on the joint
from the symbol showing a „closed
lock“ to the symbol showing an
„open lock“ (fig. 1).
The white button on the side of the
joint can be used to set the joint to the
desired maximum flexion angle. The yel-

be used to set the joint to the desired
maximum extension angle (fig. 1). Once
you have adjusted the joint settings as
desired, secure the settings by turning
the center knob back to the symbol
showing a „closed lock“ .
Setting a Fixed Flexion Angle
The orthosis can be locked at a flexion
of 0°, 15°, 30° and 45°. The knee joint
is then secured in the desired position.
If necessary, open the locking button
marked “Q-Lock”. Bend the joint of the
orthosis and set it to the desired flexion
angle at which you wish to lock the joint,
within the range of 0° to 45°. The arrow
on the yellow section of the labelling
on the joint has to point to 0°, 15°, 30°
or 45°. Now close the locking button
marked “Q-Lock” again (fig. 2).
