Signal terms
You can find the following signal terms in
these instructions:
WARNING
This signal term indicates a moderate
risk, which, if not avoided, may result in
death or severe injury.
CAUTION
This signal term indicates a low risk,
which, if not avoided, may result in minor
or moderate injury.
NOTE
This signal term warns you of potential
damage.
Safety notes
WARNING
Improper electrical installation or ex-
cessive mains voltage may result in an
electrical shock.
• Only use the enclosed AC adapter plug.
When connecting the device, make
sure that the correct voltage is present.
More detailed information is available
directly on the mains adapter.
• The sensor button

does not
disconnect the device from the mains.
For this reason, connect it to an eas-
ily accessible socket so that you can
quickly disconnect it from the mains in
the event of faults.
• Immediately disconnect the mains
adapter from the socket if its casing
is defective or exhibits other visible
damage.
• Set up the unit so that the mains plug
is easily accessible and no vent slots
are blocked.
• If the device emits smoke, smells burnt
or produces unusual sounds, immedi-
ately disconnect it from the mains and
do not operate it further.
• Never open the device housing.
Repairs may only be carried out by an
authorised specialist workshop; other-
wise, all warranty claims are waived.
Only parts that comply with the original
device data may be used for repairs.
There are electrical and mechanical
parts in this unit which are necessary
in order to avoid exposure to sources of
danger.
• Only use the accessory products speci-
fied by the manufacturer.
• Do not insert any objects through the
vents in the housing.
• Only use the device indoors and not in
wet rooms; protect it from dripping and
splash water.
Make sure that no vases or other
vessels filled with liquid are located on
the device or nearby in order to prevent
liquid from penetrating the housing.
If water or other debris get through
the case, immediately disconnect the
mains adapter. Then send the device to
our service address.
• Never touch the mains adapter with wet
hands.
• Check the device regularly for damage.
