Move the trimmer with a slow regular arc from
•
left to right before moving it back to the starting
position before trimming the next area.
Use the edge of the guard as a guide when
•
cutting near fences and walls, etc. Moving the
Grass Trimmer in a backwards direction will avoid
damage.
Do not overload the Grass Trimmer. Cut in small
sections which will greatly improve efficiency by
keeping the Grass Trimmer running at high speed.
Edging
WARNING! Disconnect mains power before
rotating the head.
Slide the Rotation lock upward as shown.
•
The trimming head can now be rotated through
•
90 degrees until the catch clicks.
CAUTION: The trimmer must only be used when the
head is locked at either end of its travel.
Rest the trimmer on the wheel while edging.
•
The wheel height is set to position the trimmer at the
optimum height for edging.
OPERATION
Power cable
Note: To avoid detaching the power cable always
check that it is attached firmly to the cable hook,
before using the Grass Trimmer.
Make a loop with the power cable and push it
•
through the square hole under the grip of the
trigger.
Place the end of the loop round the cable hook
•
and ensure it is pulled firmly enough to prevent it
coming loose while operating the Grass Trimmer.
Trimming grass
When you are ready to use the Grass Trimmer,
•
plug the power cable into a mains outlet.
Hold the Grass Trimmer in the operating position
•
with both hands and switch on by pressing the
On/Off trigger. To switch off, release the On/Off
trigger.
Stand upright when trimming, do not lean
•
forward and pay attention to posture. Keep both
feet apart to help retain your balance.
Hold the cutting head just above the ground at an
•
angle of approximately 30°.
