To tune a selected parameter enter into
Parameter review level
and select a parameter you want to
tune.
The following parameters of the transmitter can be changed:
1)
“Laser”
- to switch laser “On” or “Off”;
2)
“RF level dBuV”
- to control RF level ;
NOTE
: RF level parameter characterizes input RF signal average power. It depends on input signals values
and number of channels.
3)
“Gain ctl.”
- to switch RF level control to
“Manual”
or
“Auto“
.
To set automatic RF level control for constant load to the laser:
- switch
“Gain ctl.”
in “Manual” mode;
- set
“ATTn”
to 3 dB or less;
- set the optimal input RF value;
- switch the
“Gain ctl”
to
“Auto”
.
In this case RF level instability is compensated automatically by the internal attenuator
“Attn”
.
4)
“Attn. dB”
- to set attenuation level from 0 to 15 dB by 0.5 dB step;
5)
“Eq.dB”
- to set equalizer level from 0 until 10 dB by 0.5 dB step.
6)
“Diag”
- to control diagnostic data.
Use buttons
and
to set a parameter.

Then press
. A blinking cursor or letter “E” before the parameter name indicates, that you get into
Parameter tuning level
.
Use buttons
and
to set a parameter value. Displaying a blinking rectangle cursor means, that
value of this parameter will changed and stored into device immediately after pressing of buttons
and
, whereas displaying a blinking letter “E” means, that value of this parameter will changed and stored
into device after pressing
only.

Diagnostic information
Displaying a symbol “i” means, that value of this parameter is not adjustable. This is an informational
parameter.
All descriptions of the diagnostic bits see in the table 1, page 12.
