8 Trouble-shooting
Operating problems may occur due to irregular
maintenance, the use of unsuitable materials, or
incorrect handling of the machine.
The following Table presents a summary of a range of
problems and their possible causes.
During the warranty period, malfunctions must be
dealt with by your responsible Service Agent or a
specialist workshop.
If a problem can only be eliminated through repair,
then your responsible Service Agent must be called
in.
8.1 Engine
All faults in the diesel engine must be examined as
described in their specific Perkins Engine Operating
Instructions 1104C-44T.
8.2 Table of faults

No steering movement
Oil supply to pump interrupted Check and repair suction line
Hydraulic pump damaged Repair or replace
Priority valve damaged Remedy fault (call Service Agent)
Hand metering unit damaged Remedy fault (call Service Agent)

Mechanical fault Repair
Insufficient performance of service brake
Wear in brake discs Adjust or repair (call Service Agent)
Brake control system damaged Repair or replace (call Service Agent)

Insufficient performance of parking brake
Wear in brake discs Re-adjust or repair
Hydraulic fault in brake actuation Replace and/or re-adjust
Hydrostatic travel drive without neutral position
Switch for travel direction damaged Replace / repair
Solenoids of valve damaged Replace / repair
Neutral position incorrectly adjusted Check / re-calibrate (call Service Agent)
Internal damage to travel pump Replace travel pump
Excessive engine idling Re-adjust engine idling
