Camera System
The system is designed to supplement other safety
practices (i.e. signal persons /doggers) and systems
(i.e. mirrors), and is not intended to be used as the
sole method of collision avoidance. It should be used
in conjunction with established safety programs and
procedures to augment the safe operation of the
telehandler. The operator is always the first line of
defense when safely operating the telehandler and
should always use direct line of sight and indirect
visual methods (i.e. mirrors) to identify obstacles
and collision hazards.
Always look in the direction of travel.
When the object appears in the monitor, bring the
machine to a controlled stop and verify the location
of the obstacle. Only proceed when the obstacle is
clear of the travel path.
