Tennant 3090  (07–02)

FOR SAFETY: When using machine, do not pull
cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not
stretch cord. Do not close doors on cord. Do not
unplug by pulling on cord. Keep cord away from
heated surfaces.

4.

To regulate the air suction, slide the air suction
regulator located on the hose nozzle (Figure 17).

FIG. 17

5.

When vacuuming large floor areas, hold the floor
wand attachment parallel to your body and pivot at
your waist while walking (a side-to-side mopping
motion). This motion keeps the upper body and
arms from tiring. (Figure 18)

FIG. 18

NOTE: The vacuum motor is electronically thermo
protected. When the machine senses excessive motor
overload, the motor will automatically function at a low
speed for a few seconds until the motor cools. Should
this happen while operating, check to see if filter bag is
full. If bag is not full, inspect vacuum hose, wand, floor
tool and filters for obstruction.

6.

After cleaning, perform the Machine Maintenance
procedures.

MACHINE MAINTENANCE

To keep machine in good working condition, simply
follow machine’s recommended maintenance
procedures.

WARNING: Unplug Power Cord Before

Servicing Machine.

1.

Replace the vacuum bag after each use or as
needed. Do not reuse paper bags (Figure 19).

FIG. 19

2.

Inspect power cord for damage, replace if
damaged. Coil cord neatly after each use.

3.

Replace HEPA filter every year or every 100
hours of use (Figure 20).

FIG. 20

4.

Change exhaust filters after every 6 months of use
(Figure 21 ).
