BELTS AND CHAINS
ENGINE BELT
The engine fan belt is driven by the engine
crankshaft pulley and drives the alternator pulley.
Proper belt tension is 10 mm (0.40 in) from a
force of 4 to 5 kg (8 to 10 lb) applied at the
mid-point of the longest span.
Check and adjust the belt tension every
100 hours of operation.
WARNING: Moving Belt And Fan Blades.

AIR CONDITIONER BELT
The air conditioner belt is driven by the engine
crankshaft pulley and drives the compressor.
Proper belt tension is 4 mm (0.19 in) from a firm
force of a finger applied at the mid-point of the
longest span.
Check and adjust the belt tension after the first
10 hours of operation and then every 100 hours
after that.

STATIC DRAG CHAIN
A static drag chain prevents the buildup of static
electricity in the machine. The chain is attached to
the machine at the rear main brush skirt.
Make sure the chain is touching the floor at all
times.
