Extra Phoenix-type pluggable terminal connectors (5.08 mm pitch 2P) to fit the
ONT DC 54V power connector (one connector is packed with the ONT)
·
Molex connectors (8-pin) to fit the ONT UPS connector
·
Cable ties (Nylon and Velcro) and vinyl electrical tape
·
Sharpie or other fine-point permanent marker
Unpacking and Checking the ONT180C
The Tellabs ONT180C and related accessories to be installed may arrive in a single
shipping container, or in multiple containers. When unpacking the boxes, check each
item against the installation work order for proper quantities and for shipping damage.

If a shortage or damage is found, contact the Tellabs Technical Assistance
Center (TAC) immediately.
·
If all items are accounted for and in good condition, installation can proceed.
If possible, unpack and check everything before arriving at the installation site.
Installing the ONT180C
Installing the Tellabs ONT180C consists of the following steps
1. The physical installation:
o
Placing the ONT180C on a desktop or other surface
o
Mounting the ONT180C to a wall, the back or underside of a desk, or
some other surface
2. Connecting the ONT180C to DC power:
o
AC adapter at the installation location
o
Remote bulk DC power supply cable
3. Connecting the optical fiber cable to the ONT180C
4. Verifying a solid green PON LED Indicator on the ONT
