When requested to transmit its status the Model 2002 responds with a five digit number which is
explained in the following:

Serial Receiver Overflow = 4
Main Board EEPROM Error = 2
Probe EEPROM (any) Error = 1
Probe EEPROM Not Responding = 8
Probe EEPROM Read Error = 1
Probe EEPROM Checksum Error = 4
Probe EEPROM Verification Error = 2
Probe EEPROM Identification Error = 1
Communications Syntax Error = 4
Piezo Sensor Bad (voltage out of range) = 2
Pirani Sensor Bad (voltage out of range) = 1
High Setpoint Alarm (pressure exceeds setpoint) = 4
Low Setpoint Alarm (pressure less than setpoint) = 2
Gas# Changed (not the same as when unit last calibrated) = 1
