ChannelSync Configuration
The ChannelSync Hub enables you to extend your LabMaster system to
20 acquisition modules and 80 channels.
1. Connect a PCIe 1-Lane cable from the Channel 1-4 SYNC output on
the MCM-Zi-A to the single PCIe 1-Lane input at the lower right of the
CMH-20 back panel.
2. For each set of five acquisition modules, connect one PCle 4-Lane
cable from the PCIe 4-Lane DATALINK outputs along the bottom of the
CMH-20 back panel to the PCIe 4-Lane DATALINK inputs on the back
of the MCM-Zi-A. A minimum of two connections will be needed for a
6-10 acquisition module system; three for an 11-15 acquisition module
system, and four for a 16-20 acquisition module system. Connect the
cables in order from left to right.
3. Connect from the remaining SMA 10 GHz Clock, PCIe 1-Lane SYNC,
and PCIe 4-Lane DATALINK connectors on the CMH-20 back panel to
the connectors on the corresponding acquisition modules. Each set of
connectors is marked with channel numbers.
4. Make any other desired cable connections, such as from the Ethernet
connector on the MCM-Zi-A I/O panel to a network access point.
5. Attach the power cables to each module and connect them to separate,
grounded AC outlets. Power on.
6. After power on, run a SystemSkew Cal.

For clarity, only the first acquisition module is shown connected.
Note there is no SMA connection from the MCM-Zi-A to the CMH-20.
