GSM signal level test
(TA74 GSM and TA74 GSM IO only)
This test mode will announce a number between 0 and 5 corresponding to the GSM signal
level: The message is repeated every 3 seconds.
If an error is sent back, or if the GSM module does not answer, only a beep will be emitted
from the device.
The announcements of the GSM signal level correspond to the following signal levels:
Entering and using GSM signal level test mode
1. Press the
Maintenance button
and use function 5.

► When you enter GSM signal level test mode, a 3-minute timer starts. The device will
automatically exit GSM signal level test mode at the end of the 3 minutes.
► The red indicator lamp flashes every 2 seconds and the device announces the
GSM signal level every 3 seconds.
2. Press any button on the TA74 to exit the test mode.

The GSM signal level test mode is only available:
–
if the micro-SIM card is correctly inserted in the TA74,
–
if the GSM module is configured (SIM card PIN code, provider APN, etc.), and
do not move the device after starting the GSM signal level test.
Repeat the test every time the device is moved to a new location.

NOTE
A signal level of at least <1> (–111 dBm to –98 dBm) is required to ensure correct use of
the TA74 GSM or TA74 GSM IO.
