Satellite/s channels scan
To conduct a channel scan on selected satellites:
x
Press the BLUE
Scan
button to scan only the satellite selected. Otherwise, press the RED
Scan All
button to extend the scan to all the satellites
x
Define the following in the
Scan Mode
screen:
1.
Scan Mode
: Scan the Transponder database (
Default
) or by a Blind-scan (
Blind-Detail
)
2.
Programme
: Choose
Free Only
to scan only free channels (recommended) or
All
for coded channels as
well
x
Press OK to start scan
3.2.1.2.3 Motor
Mode
This receiver can command a motorised antenna either manually (using the DiSEqC 1.2 protocol) or semi-
automatically (using the USALS protocol), depending on the type of motor used in the plant.
To use this mode, it is necessary to set the
Switch Type
parameter to
DiSEqC 1.2/USALS
.
Then use the following colored function buttons to define the following:
1.
Set Limit
(RED button): Define left/right rotation limits for the motor
2.
Set Location
(GREEN button): Antenna plant’s coordinates. Mandatory for USALS mode
3.
Set LNB
(YELLOW button): Antenna converter. In Europe, the typical LNB Type is
Universal
Then, after having set the
Position
parameter for each protocol, press OK. The
Edit
screen will appear with
the following options listed for satellite association:
1.
Satellite name
: Select satellite name. Press the RED
Add SAT
button, select the satellite and press OK
2.
Move Step
: Step adjustment of the antenna position
3.
Goto X
: Goes to a position automatically (USALS only) or recalls the motor position saved earlier
(DiSEqC 1.2)
4.
Transponder
: TP frequency on which to mount the antenna to receive the signal; Strength and Quality
indicators are shown on screen. Use / to choose a transponder from the list of transponders
available as a result of the previously selected satellite

Press OK to save settings and return to the previous screen

3.2.1.3 Transponder management and single channel search
The
TP Manager
menu allows you to modify and update the preset list of satellites and relative
transponders, as well as conduct a limited channel search on a single transponder.
Database management
Use:
x
/ to change satellite and / to move between the selected satellite’s transponders
x
colored contextual functional buttons for each satellite or a transponder for updates/modifications
Transponder channels scan
To conduct a channels scan on a single frequency:
x
Press the BLUE
Scan
button on the selected transponder
x
Define the following in the
Scan Mode
screen:
1.
Programme
: Choose
Free Only
to scan only free channels (recommended) or
All
for coded channels as
well
x
Press OK to start scan on selected frequency
CAUTION!
If the signal Strength (
S
) and Quality (
Q
) bars do not respond or indicate low levels, make sure the antenna has been
configured correctly in the
My Dish
menu and that the selected transponder is not out-of-date.
