Interconnections
The TMP6400s are connected to the VoIP network by one or optionally two Ethernet GigE network
links, as shown in figure 2.3 on page 13.
To connect the TMP6400s to the VoIP network:
1. Start with the TMP6400 at the topmost position of the equipment rack and connect a CAT5 Ethernet
cable to VoIP1 at the rear of the TMP6400. Connect the other end of the same CAT5 cable to the
Gigabit Ethernet switch.
2. If your system has a second VoIP access point, connect a second CAT5 Ethernet cable to VoIP2 at
the rear of the TMP6400. Connect the other end of the same CAT5 cable to the second Gigabit
Ethernet switch.
3. Repeat steps 1-2 for each TMP6400 until they have all been connected to the Gigabit Ethernet
switch(es) for the VoIP network.
