Basic Operation
CAUTION.
Do not force conductors larger than 3.8 mm into the probe jaws. Damage to the probe may result.
The mating surfaces of the probe head transformer are precision-polished and should be handled with care. Measurements may
be degraded by dirt on the mating surfaces of the probe head transformer. Refer to the Maintenance section of this manual for
information on how to properly clean the probe head transformer surfaces.
1.
Check the oscilloscope display before
connecting the probe to a conductor.
If there is a DC offset, degauss the probe.

Close and lock the probe jaw over the
conductor.
For correct polarity reading, connect the
probe so that the current
fl
ow, from positive
to negative, is aligned with the arrow on
the probe jaw.
3.
Read the measurement on the oscilloscope
display.
