GPS Set-Up Page
The GPS Set-Up Page shows the current status of the GPS receiver in NTS01. It is also possible
to alter some of the GPS receiver’s operating parameters from this page.
The GPS receiver operation in NTS01 is automatic, so that there is no need to change any of
these parameters under normal circumstances. In practice, if the GPS receiver is tracking
satellites and the time is synchronised to satellite time, then receiver will ignore attempts to
change position or time parameters. It will also ignore changes if it has not been powered down
since it was last synced to satellite time.

Sky Chart
Visible satellites are shown on a Sky Chart (see fig above) where the rings are 'elevation'
markers and the sectors mark 'azimuth'. The centre of the display, where the azimuth lines
converge, represents the sky directly overhead of the antenna. The elevation above the horizon is
90° at this point. The outer edge of the display, or elevation of 0°, represents the horizon. The
'azimuth' is a compass bearing where 0° represents True North, 90° is East. Satellites are
represented by x's. Satellites that are in use by NTS01 for calculating time have red ID numbers.
