Descaling indicator and drain water cap
If the descaling indicator illuminates, it indicates the mineral deposits has been collected in
the generator to a degree it should be cleaned:
1. First, power the device off and disconnect it from power supply.
2. Detach the water tank from the device.
Note:
perform the cleaning over a sink or a vessel for poured out water and residue
mineral deposit.
3. Put the device horizontally on a level surface. Take the iron off the station.
4. Grab the station and shake it generously to stir the content of the boiler.
5. Then tilt the steam station (bottom at the top) and rotate the drain water cap manually
to open it for cleaning. Shake it generously to stir the content of the boiler again.
WARNING:
To avoid a risk of scald, make sure the steam generator has been cooled down
completely before unscrewing the drain water cap.
6. Rotate the station again to its original position (the drain water cap should be over a
sink or a vessel). The residual water with mineral deposit will be pouring out. Shake the
station gently in order to make sure to pour out all water.
7. Once you drain the steam generator, rotate the cap to close it.
8. Attach the water tank, and place the iron on the thermal insulation cushion. Connect
the device to power supply and turn it back to operate. When the system ensures the
mineral deposits have been removed, the indicator will be extinguished after around
30 seconds.
IMPORTANT:
Do not operate this device when the descaling indicator is on. Clean the boiler
before using the device again, as using scaled device will shorten his lifespan.
BEFORE FIRST USE
1. Remove any sticker, protective foil or storage cover from the soleplate if present.
2. Connect to power supply and turn the device on. Heat up the iron to maximum temperature
and iron over a piece of damp cloth for several minutes for the purpose of removing any
residue on the soleplate.
NOTE:
•
It is normal that strange odor comes out from the unit during first use. This will cease after a
short while.
•
Some particles may come out of the soleplate when you use the iron for the first time. This is
normal; the particles are harmless and stop coming out of the iron after a short while.
•
When you switch on the appliance, the steam generator may produce a pumping sound.
This is normal phenomenon.
•
During the heating process of the soleplate, there will be little steam coming out from the
soleplate automatically and this phenomenon will continue for about 3 seconds. This is
normal phenomenon.
