3. Warranty and liability
Warranty and liability claims are generally excluded if they are attributable to one or several of the following caus-
es:

The incorrect use of the air curtain system

Improperly executed repair work and maintenance

Disasters, action of foreign objects or force majeure
This operating manual has no legally binding character. All legally binding agreements are contained exclusively
in our terms and conditions of sale, delivery and payment. The original German operating manual was translated
into several languages by Teddington Luftschleieranlagen GmbH. In case of doubt the German or the English
part of these operating instructions shall be decisive, and not the other translations. Teddington shall not be liable
for any translation errors.
4. Who may perform what work on the system?
As operator of the air curtain system you must ensure that the installation is only carried out by qualified special-
ised companies.
The system may only be operated by trained staff. The trained staff may only rectify malfunctions set out in the
"Malfunctions" chapter. A specialist company must be called for other faults. The same applies to repairs, de-
commissioning and disposal.
Specialized companies in this context are:

for electrical installations and repairs: electrical experts according to UVV Electrical Systems, EC Machinery
Directive, Machine and Product Safety Law GPSG and DIN VDE 0100/DIN VDE 0113/EN 60204-1,

for installation in buildings: a specialist HVAC contractor must be commissioned.
5. Duty of care of the operating company
In order for the system to maintain maximum safety standards during daily operation, as operator you must ensure
the following:

that the device is operated only in faultless, operable condition and that it is checked regularly for proper
operation,

that the operating instructions are always available in legible condition and in full where the air curtain system
is used,

that all malfunctions, in particular those that could impair safety, are repaired immediately (the system must
not be operated during this period).
