Automatic ambient reset function
This hydrogen gas leak detector is equipped with an automatic ambient reset function which forces the unit to
ignore ambient concentrations of hydrogen.
• Automatic ambient setting - When first switched on, the unit is automatically set to ignore the hydrogen level
on the tip. Only a higher concentration level will cause an alarm. WARNING!
It should be noted that this function will make the unit ignore all hydrogen present when switched on. In other
words, if with the unit off the tip is on a known leak and is then switched on, it will not indicate any leak!
• Ambient reset function - the resetting of the unit when switched on has a similar function, it programmes the circuit to
ignore the hydrogen concentration level on the tip. This allows the user to find the source of the leak (highest concentration).
In the same way, the unit can be moved to the open air and reset to obtain maximum sensitivity. Resetting the unit with a
total absence of hydrogen (open air) causes the detection of any level above zero.
• When the unit has warmed up, the default sensitivity level is set to “high”, and the automatic reset function is “on”.
• The automatic reset function is best used initially when the user moves whilst trying to identify the source of the leak. Once
the source of the leak has been found, cancel the automatic detection function to proceed with measuring the leak.
• The automatic reset function must be OFF when used for detection in a fixed position.
Sensitivity adjustment
The instrument has three sensitivity levels. When the unit is on, it is set to the HIGH detection level.
• To change sensitivity, press the button.
When the button is pressed, the display briefly shows the two left LEDs (green) which indicate that the LOW sensitivity level
has been selected.
• To return to high sensitivity, press the button. The two right LEDs (red) briefly illuminate to indicate that the high sensitivity
level has been selected.
Regolazione sensibilità
•
/ LOW SENSITIVITY LEVEL (GREEN LED)
LIVELLO DI SENSIBILITÀ MEDIO (LED GIALLO)
/ MID SENSITIVITY LEVEL (YELLOW LED)
LIVELLO DI SENSIBILITÀ ALTO (LED ROSSO)
/ HIGH SENSITIVITY LEVEL (RED LED)
