7.5 Receiving encrypted programmes
> Insert a CI module into the slot with the upper side pointing to the rear.
> Insert the Smartcard into the card slot of the CI module.
Ensure that the gold-coloured chip of the Smartcard is on the rear side, in the direction
in which the card is inserted.
If you now select an encrypted programme, your television will automatically check the CI
slot and display the programme in unencrypted form, provided the appropriate CI module,
including a valid Smartcard, for this programme is inserted in the slot.
7.5.1 Smartcard PIN code
With encrypted programmes, you can block programmes which are not suitable for children
using child protection identification. To approve a certain programme, the Smartcard PIN
code saved on the Smartcard must be entered.
> To approve the programme, enter the four-digit Smartcard PIN code using the
numeric keypad

7.6 Volume control
> To adjust the volume of your television, press the rocker button to
increase the volume and the
VOLUME -
rocker button to decrease it.
7.6.1 Switching sound on/off
> Press the
Mute
key to switch the sound on or off.
7.7 Selecting a different language/sound option
When a programme is being broadcast in several languages or with several audio channels,
this will be indicated by the message
Audio
: displayed above the information box.
> Press the
SOUND
key.
A list indicating the languages currently being broadcast will appear on the screen.
> Use the
up/down arrow keys
to highlight the desired language and confirm by
pressing
OK
.
Note that the sound selection that has been made is stored as the preferred audio
language for the specific programme and is maintained even when you switch the
unit off or change programmes.
