3 Security in the TechniSat PowerLine Webcast 2 network
To protect your privacy within the TechniSat PowerLine Webcast 2 network, the system
has a function for encrypting data transferred via the mains power supply at the push of a
button. TechniSat PowerLine Webcast 2 data encryption can be quickly and safely launched
at the push of a button without installing any additional software. To do this, just use the
encryption button on the device.
Note: No confi guration is possible in standby mode
Encryption of new simple network with two TechniSat PowerLine Webcast 2 adapters.
After you have successfully connected both TechniSat PowerLine Webcast 2 adapters,
press each encryption button (hold for 2 seconds). And that’s it! Your TechniSat PowerLine
Webcast 2 network is now protected against unauthorised access.
